The jewellery making group is held once a week in the main occupational therapy department and people can make a wide variety of jewellery, including bracelets, wristbands, necklaces, earrings and brooches, from a wide range of materials. We have a good selection of glass beads, cord and threads and all the other materials you need to make jewellery items from.
People are very welcome to attend, regardless of their confidence in making creative items. People don’t need to have had any experience in making jewellery before as we can teach techniques, or they may have experience and can, if they want to, can share their skills.
Sometimes people have thought that this activity is more suitable for women, but we don’t, so men and women are equally welcome to come and explore this area of their creativity.
